Donor screening
- There will be a health assessment over 2 stages including a blood exam, ultrasound, and pap smear. Once the blood test results are completed, the Center will conduct a donation qualification review to determine the eligibility for donation. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks to wait for the result.
- Wait for the pairing with the suitable couple undergoing infertility treatment (usually around 3 to 6 months).
Waiting for evaluation and matching process
- Once there is a suitable couple as recipients, the Ministry of Health and Welfare is notified to conduct a qualification review and begin the pairing process (usually around 14 days).
Starting the treatment
- Daily injections are needed during the treatment (stimulation of egg maturation). The egg size is reviewed 3 to 4 times and monitored by ultrasound and blood exams.
Oviposition surgery
- After the egg is mature, the egg retrieval operation is performed. The operation time typically takes about 30 minutes. You don't need to be hospitalized to retrieve the eggs. If the patient does not feel unwell, she can be discharged and return home to rest.
Receive nutrition subsidy (as stipulated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare)
